All proceeds benefit the Bulloch County Chapter of the American Diabetes Association WHAT IS DUCK FOR DIABETES? Ducks for Diabetes is a rubber duck race around the 800 foot Lazy River at Splash in the Boro Waterpark. HOW DOES IT WORK? People donate $20 to adopt a duck (or $100 for 6 ducks). They receive a ticket. On race day, the adopted parents receive a numbered ticket showing the number of their adopted duck. The ducks are numbered 1 through 500. We divide the ducks into 5 sections (1-99, 100-199, 200-299, 300-399, 400-500). Each section will be dumped into the Lazy River to race a "heat." Each heat has 10 winners-- those to first reach the finish line. The 10 winners from each heat will then race in the final race for the prize--up to $1000 CASH for the adopted parent! Parents do not have to be present to win. |
