||Join us for a festive evening of lights under the dome with music for the holiday season!
“Let it Snow” features a variety of festive classics from Frank Sinatra, Chuck Berry, Burl Ives and Ella Fitzgerald, to Harry Connick, Jr. and more. It includes a stunning multi-media finale by the Trans Siberian Orchestra. The soundtrack is visually enhanced with thematic animation, laser imagery, special effects and all-dome scenery using the new Digistar 4 planetarium system.

What wonders await us to observe in the winter sky during December to share with family and friends? Join us at the planetarium for a festive evening under the stars!
Parking/Location: Turn on to Herty Drive from Fair Road (GA Hwy 67) and follow all the way to the end. Turn left through the open parking gate then right into the large faculty/staff parking lot. Walk back down toward the gates and the planetarium is across on the other side in the Math/Physics Building between the small Eidson Building - Honors (old Alumni House) and the Biology Building.
Telescope Workshop in lobby- Learn all about telescopes and if you have one that's giving you trouble, bring it on in and members of the Statesboro Astronomy Club will be happy to assist you in getting it running.
Free Moon maps, star maps, telescopic observing of Jupiter and more - weather permitting. Free event for all ages to enjoy, sponsored by the Department of Physics in the College of Science and Mathematics at Georgia Southern University. We will be collecting canned and non-perishable food to donate to our local food bank for those in need in our community.

Doors will close on time for all shows. Limited seating, first come, first seated. No food, gum, snacks, or drinks allowed in the newly renovated planetarium, thank you. In order for everyone to enjoy the show, please turn off all electronic devices (phones, games, texting devices, cameras) before presentations begin. Due to fire code safety, there is no room for strollers in the planetarium or hallways, thank you. Hope to see you under the dome!
