Description: The Ol’ Scarecrow Statesboro Medicine Show is an original puppet show about Statesboro’s rich history. Learn along with local farm boy, Billy, as wise ol’ Russell Scarecrow and his crow pal, Jim, use song to travel through time to learn about the great people and events that shaped Statesboro. Written and produced exclusively for the Averitt Center for the Arts and the Statesboro Historical Society, the play uses rod puppets, shadow puppets, giant puppets and more to sing and spin stories from Statesboro’s past. The Medicine Show will entertain and enlighten with the community on the main stage of the historic Emma Kelly Theater. Created and directed by Scott Foxx. Funded by a grant from the Bulloch County Historical Society
