I have suffered season after season with 4 win seasons. I cheered in the magical year of '98 when the Falcons made it to the super bowl. I was really happy when the Falcons selected Mike Vick to lead the franchise to a long successful playoff runs. Alas, however, this may not be the case.

I am so appalled at the indictment on Vick. Yes, he is innocent until proven guilty, but fighting dogs? Killing them in grotesque ways? Yes, Mike you are innocent until proven guilty, but how could you allow yourself to get caught up in such a thing? I tried to rationalize a way out for him- ok these things were done before he signed the mega contract; maybe he was still in college, but since he hit the pros, he quit and the skeleton in the closet has reared its ugly head. However, this is not the case. According to the indictment, Vick was involved as recently as APRIL 2007!

Wow, the only advice I can offer Mike now is to fess up to what he did (if anything), take his consequences like a man (if guilty), and move on. The falcons will always be around- with or without mike vick.

Selfishly, i guess i'll have to keep waiting for another realistic run to the super bowl....
