Mr. Inman & Mrs. Runette Davis are volunteers at the Boys & Girls Clubs (BGC) of Bulloch County. Both Mr. & Mrs. Davis have their Masters Degree in Education and are retired educators. Each desired a need to give back to the community working with children and chose to give of their time by supporting the elementary children at the Denmark Unit facility of the BGC. The couple will provide additional educational activities to help the club members continue to learn in their academics as well as build and strengthen their character and self-esteem.
Mr. & Mrs. Davis visited the BGC on Friday, November 14th reading a 20th century poem, “Abou ben Adhem by James Henry Leigh Hunt to the 4th grade boys. The poem was discussed and explained by Mr. Davis highlighting the importance of being nice to one another, sharing and having good friends. He also incorporated other activities with the children.
