Take Me To Post Comment Form

I will be sending a donation to the fundraiser for POP at Citizens Bank. I would like to challenge some of the people that only post bad rebuttles to send in a donation. Just write your check or whatever and put your "blog name" on it and send it in. Let's see how many of these we get. My guess is not any.

This should be interesting.

lakerat commented on Sunday, Nov 16, 2008 at 21:56 PM

Yeah, actually unless I put Club Zone in the subject line they will not answer, except for one that really has no interest in Club Zone, just discrediting me. We will see how many of them will respond to this. If they don't we will put Club zone in the subject line.

CathrynEGlasford commented on Sunday, Nov 16, 2008 at 22:16 PM

Wow this is a great idea! I will be checking at Citizen Bank to see if anyone really does donate anything... I wonder if those that have been really rude on here is up to the challenge or should I say dare.

Ok now, different ones will be asking me if I thought they were rude….. which they shouldn’t have to ask…they KNOW if they were or not!

lakerat commented on Sunday, Nov 16, 2008 at 22:34 PM

Right Cathryn. If this does not work we will put CZ in the subject line. How did the fundraiser go? Maybe we can see these guys that have challenged me come up to the altruistic table.

CathrynEGlasford commented on Sunday, Nov 16, 2008 at 23:28 PM

The benefit was great! We had tons of fun! Later on I plan to post a blog for all the business’s that contributed, along with the ones from the blog that helped out too.

The Flock of Angels are so grateful to them all; we couldn’t have done it without their help.

ibdaisy commented on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 at 01:09 AM

Kathryn, be sure and tell how you exercise to keep firm and fit.

rotflmao :)

colaguy commented on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 at 09:49 AM

Thanks lakerat a good idea..I did attend the event which turned out very nice.
Kathryn, you did a gread job with the limited time and help.
I do not read the blogs much but wanted to write in because I believe in helping people when in need.

CBWill commented on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 at 10:07 AM

I did not attend but thought it was a great idea. Thanks, Cathryn. We need a lot more like you. It is a shame we cannot clone you.

I am sure Pop's wife would be very grateful for what you have done.

UncleSam commented on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 at 11:55 AM

lakerat,
Will not only take on the challenge but will challenge you as well..see if you can match what I donate at bank today.
Sounds like Kathryn will be able to tell how much I donate.
Kathryn, write on blog so I can find out as well.
Hope this helps.

Too bad all you guys who couldn't make it missed such a wonderful time! To see Cathryn dancing was worth it all, and to see the family surrounded by people who love them was touching. Some only stopped by for a minute and others stayed to help clean up and close it down.
I echo Cathryn's thanks to all who did indeed contribute time, food, music and effort!

I also add my two cents worth to lakerat's challenge. You don't have to be a negative blogger to donate but I'd love to see whether some of the more provocative bloggers here do put their money where their mouths are.

CathrynEGlasford commented on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 at 14:58 PM

Boy some of you blogger and others are on the ball! Because when I dropped off the money at noon from the benefit, there had already been more checks deposited!! Way to go!

I'm like it, I love it, and I want more of it!

Ibdaisy, I'm no where around the words of "fit & firm", really so far away from those two words, it's not even funny...but dancing sure helps! BUT it has to be the oldies!.....HaHa

Colaguy, it was wonderful, seeing you there! Dang Boy, you clean up nice when you want too!....giggle

CBWill, I'm sure there are lots of other people that do the same as me, you just haven't met them yet...but thank you for the kind words! BUT...I DO WANT TO BE CLONED! I'm just waiting for the doctors to call me and tell me they are ready to clone me...YIPPIE!!!

UncleSam, are you really going to do the challenge? I hope, YOU KNOW that I will know if you don't...that goes for the others that were challenged too! WooHoo

Watchdog, now everyone knows about me dancing..BUT yes, it was great to see the family surrounded by all of us that care! The clean up help was wonderful... Because, I was really tried by the end of the night...

watchdog commented on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 at 15:48 PM

Y'all should have seen her out there doing the funky chicken.....

CathrynEGlasford commented on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 at 16:20 PM

What that the name of that dance I was doing? The funky chicken? DANG...now I know!...lol

watchdog commented on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 at 17:19 PM

Well, that was ONE of the dances... we won't mention the others that had names, and I haven't come up with names for the dances you made up!!

As for clean up, you made the mess so others cleaned up LOL - no really, you did the MAJORITY of all the work, organizing... Stephen and Sally were wonderful caterers as well as company, doing all that after a busy day. You deserved to dance a lil, honey chile!

BTW thanks for stopping to check on me while I was pulled over texting somebody today!

lakerat commented on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 at 18:16 PM

I broke all ten of my toes showing a friends granddaughter how to do the funky chicken a few years ago.

lakerat commented on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 at 18:21 PM

Kathryn, I made my donation today around 5:00. You will know which one is mine since you know who I am. Tell Pop and family I am thinking of them.

watchdog commented on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 at 18:45 PM

lakerat wish you could have been there. Anywhere Glasford is, it's a party! I'll invite you when I get her to host one of " those" parties for me .....

CathrynEGlasford commented on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 at 19:26 PM

Wait! It must be pick on me time...lol Me, party? I don't even drink...ok, I do drink my coffee....I just LOVE life!

Watchdog, did you see how far I got before I stopped the SUV? I was worried about my dog in the back seat and all that china, glassware, and other stuff in the very back...

Thank You Lakerat, I will be checkin' on the bank sometime tomorrow!

I just want everyone to know, that I will NOT be telling anyone who is who! I WILL tell if it's a blogger that made a donation (just not the real name)....

Pop's family is so THANKFUL for all the help...

lakerat commented on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 at 20:23 PM

I am sure you got one from Uncle Sam. You do not have to tell me who he is, I know.

schmoopsiepoo commented on Tuesday, Nov 18, 2008 at 10:51 AM

I was out of town for the weekend. Who is POP and why are you raising money?

LuvHandel commented on Tuesday, Nov 18, 2008 at 11:37 AM

OH, that's right, you came on a little late. Catherine can explain this one.

LuvHandel commented on Tuesday, Nov 18, 2008 at 11:38 AM

I get the idea that you are an uninformed citizen. This story was on this blog just last week....AND in the paper.

schmoopsiepoo commented on Tuesday, Nov 18, 2008 at 12:04 PM

Thanks for the snarky comment but that didn't answer my questions.

This should help you out. I didn't have time to find the blog myself before, but I've just done it for you. This is the blog about POP.

CathrynEGlasford commented on Tuesday, Nov 18, 2008 at 19:51 PM

The “Flock of Angels, a group of citizens living in Bulloch county and the surrounding area, are having a benefit for Pop (Ricky Cartee) and his family. The funds raised from this charitable event will be given to the family to assist them with the bills that have resulted from the passing of wife and mother Lisa on October 3.

Now Lakerat has a challenge to you and two others on here.
