Nostradamus predicts Aemageddon on 12/21/12 which would be in the last year of the rule of Obama should he win. This will be preceded by storms , floods , quakes and battles with terror for all.( this has and is happening now)1+2=3
2+1=3 ,1+2=3 and could that date stand for the heavenly triumverate? Could Obama be the Anti-Christ ? Very interesting!

This is all to deep for me Warrane. I don't even want to think about that.

Truth commented on Wednesday, Oct 29, 2008 at 13:20 PM

Wouldn't this then be a good thing? The second coming of Christ... all Christians go to Heaven... Why are you worried then?

Meezy commented on Wednesday, Oct 29, 2008 at 13:27 PM

Seriously?? I mean, really, seriously?

Scargo commented on Wednesday, Oct 29, 2008 at 13:58 PM

Interesting, indeed, but no man knoweth the coming of the Lord. So many down thru the ages have tried to predict, but it has yet to happen when they've said it would. However, the latter books of the Bible are amazing in relation to the Coming. Peter speaks of false teachers who will bring damnable heresies...even denying the Lord. I would be very afraid to say I didn't believe in the Lord. In second Peter it tells us that those that follow the teachings of these false teachers shall bring to themselves swift destruction. (Now mind you, folks, please, I am not referring to Obama or no one). I believe the anti-christ is a bit much. C'mon. Yes, what a great day that will be...the coming of Christ for those who have been steadfast and lived a godly life. The Bible tells us that straight is the way and narrow is gate. And God goes on in 2nd Peter to tell us that he will deliver the godly from temptation and He will hold the false prophets and unjust to the day of judgement for punishment. Waranne, you are a trip! :) Give us an update on Dr. Guido.

This is interesting...but I got all into the anti-christ thinking earlier this year like many Americans and there was so much information on the internet about this subject. I went back to where I should have went in the beginning the Bible and as you said Scargo no man knoweth the coming of the Lord.

CBWill commented on Wednesday, Oct 29, 2008 at 14:41 PM

True, but could he be in the form of Obama? A lot of folks seem to think so.

What's really intereting is that the most accurate calendar ever created...the Mayan calendar...ends on 12/31/2012. The Mayan indians go back further than old Nosty.

It's interesting that both would say 2012 is the end.

Fred_Tollver commented on Wednesday, Oct 29, 2008 at 15:43 PM

Or we could chalk Nostrodomus and his "prophesies" up to rank bulls#*t. I don't know how many times the guy has to be proven to have been a liar for people to stop believing in his bad poetry.

And the Mayans were always about rebirths and new worlds when creating the calendars, so I sincerely doubt the world will end with their calendar.

Really, anyone that totes out the "anti-Christ" argument is kind of, oh, I don't want to use the word "retarded", so how about "developmentally disabled"? People who argue citing the anti-Christ are developmentally disabled.

OMG! I thought Y2K was the end of the world! I still have my left over gallons of water and plenty of canned food items in my "end of days shelter" from then. Glad that will come in handy in the year 2012. Guess I'd better hurry and get married and have a kid or two before then.
Oh, if only Obama is the Savior sent down from heaven to make the next few years better (especially for us middle working class folks).

Again, I say... SERIOUSLY?! I'm looking forward to next week after the election is over to see what pops up on these blogs. Will there be anything to talk about then?

Scargo commented on Wednesday, Oct 29, 2008 at 16:39 PM

Waranne, I have to hand to you. I knew some would get the pants in a wad when they saw this. LOL :)

watchdog commented on Wednesday, Oct 29, 2008 at 17:47 PM

You know, if 2012 IS the end of the world, why worry? There's nothing we can do about it. For some of us, our number may be up well before then. We never know when it is our turn to die, so why not just try to live right now anyway? Live like there's no tomorrow and you'll have no regrets.
It's hard to do, but if we just trust in God, we'll be OK.
Now if I can just figure out how to shut off my worry switch.....

I'm still on the fence about my vote for Prez. However, regardless of who is elected - it will still be God's will. On occassion in the Bible, people were elected/appointed as rulers despite much objection from the community. Nonetheless, God worked all things - good and bad - together, for the good of those who loved Him. Whether or not Obama is the right man for our nation, it seems as if it's "in the cards" for him to be our next Prez. And despite our feelings... God's got something bigger planned for all of us.

SusanS commented on Wednesday, Oct 29, 2008 at 23:13 PM

Yes, God does have something bigger planned for all of us. Don't be so quick to say it's "in the cards" for anyone Triple. Magic acts make things appear a "certain way" and so does the media these days. Anything can happen.
But, yes, God is in control.

In Revelation, it says that no one knows the hour of the 2nd coming except God Himself, not even the angels. So I've given up trying to guess who the Anti-Christ is, and when the rapture will be and so forth. It will happen when God decides it is best.

Basically, Nostradamus' supposed predictions are always interpreted AFTER the fact.

There is no evidence that anyone has EVER interpreted any of Nostradamus's quatrains to predict ANY event in advance.

The Mayan calender doesn't predict anything cateclysmic in the year 2012. According to almost all legitimate Mayan scholars, that is a misinterpretation. It is simply the end of a major cycle (the Long Count) according to the calender, and that was actually a cause for great celebration in ancient Mayan culture. The end of the Long Count just means that it starts over -- that's all.

Many people in many cultures have predicted Doomsday since the dawn of thought. I guess, eventually, one of them has to be right. Color me skeptical, however, in this one.
