Sorry, I've been down with Pneumonia since last weekend so needless to say I haven't been myself lately :)
I've missed all you guys too!
Well, Miss China, since you seem to be an expert, just what are the people looking for other than higher taxes. That is what they will get with Obama. Or maybe a huge welfare check.
Ad I said, for a man whith Powell's history and service, not being concerned with the Ayers connection, calls Powell's honesty into question.
China is calling us indecent now. Talk about calling people names. I have never been called that before. Oh! Yeh! That's right the republicans are always guilty of something. And the saintly democrates are as pure as the first winter snow. Must be a lonely world you'll live in.
Bitter-Hateful-Indecent-We have illiness/problems-stress kills. Sounds like inappropiate context to me. Where is BLOG PATROL?
From an article by Carl Bernstein.
Whats good for the goose goes around comes around don't it?
Does John McCain "pal around with terrorists?"
Certainly McCain's continuing "association" and relationship with the convicted Watergate burglar and domestic terrorist G. Gordon Liddy might suggest that is the case, if we are to apply the standards drawn by the McCain campaign.
In 1998, Liddy gave a fundraiser in his Scottsdale, Arizona home for McCain's senatorial re-election campaign -- the two posed for photographs together; and as recently as May, 2007, as a presidential candidate, McCain was a guest on Liddy's syndicated radio show. Inexplicably, McCain heaped praise on his host's values. During the segment, McCain said he was "proud" of Liddy, and praised Liddy's "adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great."
Which of Liddy's "principles and philosophies" was McCain referring to? Liddy's advocacy of break-ins? Firebombings? Assassinations? Kidnappings? Taking target practice with figures nicknamed Bill and Hillary?
During the same period that Bill Ayers was a member of the Weather Underground, Gordon Liddy was making plans to firebomb a Washington think tank, assassinate a prominent journalist, undertake the Watergate burglary, break into the office of Daniel Ellsberg's psychiatrist, and kidnap anti-war protesters at the 1972 Republican convention.
Re: Liddy's "continued success and adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great:" Did McCain mean to include Liddy's instructions to listeners of his radio show in 1994 (around the time Ayres and Obama were on a board together discussing education programs and other plots) on how to shoot Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms agents (aim for the head)?
If ATF agents attempt to curtail a citizen's gun ownership, Liddy counseled, "Well, if the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms comes to disarm you and they are bearing arms, resist them with arms. Go for a head shot; they're going to be wearing bulletproof vests."
Republican's do have stress. We have to go to work every day, pay taxes and try to feed the entitlement group. I am bitter for that. I can get hateful when I see the entitlement croud walking around on the streets in the middle of the day, instead of working. Indecent, no. I think china might need to look up the definition for indecent.
I'm with you on that lakerat. It seems as though the "Hole In The Wall" gang is back. Mystery is solved.
Well welcome back Tom! I was a little concerned.
You are intelligent enough to realize that while that connection is questionable, the guy is no Bil Ayers, right?
China, we all can see your arguments are always racist(ironiclly someone is using the same ammo against you now(, and partisan, however none of the others on here are as hateful as you. Well maybe one, sure has been a lot friendlier on here with him taking a break.
China, I know some of the Bloggers on here personally, they are honest, caring, giving and loving people. All in all I bet these people have contributed more to the needy than most. They work at charity events, donate money, and do other charitable acts. I do not care if you believe this or not, but I just felt a need to defend myself and others. Maybe since this is a place where you can say whatever you like, you think it is O.K. to attack others. How sad.........
Wow...I literally can not believe what I am reading -
There are so many things wrong with the responses on here...
First China - what a hateful thing to say - sometimes people get sick - there's no karma involved. Next time you get a cold, are you going to say "what have I done to deserve this?" Ridiculous. Seriously.
Also, my blog is in an effort to literally get some sort of answers to the questions I have. I don't see how that makes me bitter? I question your inability to ask the same questions.
Speaking of partisan "tactics" - hows that Acorn workin out for you? Since your candidate seems to believe that lying is ok, and buying an election is even better - might as well shack up with Acorn, right? I mean, what's wrong with that? PULEASE!
I feel like the "n" word has no need to be on this blog - or anywhere for that matter. It's digusting and using it only fuels the fire of "racism" that is being thrown on people like me who do not entertain such thoughts or words. No one should say it, no one. I can list 10 reasons to not vote for Obama - his color is not one of them.
Fueling racism doesn't help anyone's cause.
This stuff about Ayers is stupid.
I do not agree with everything the Reverend Ayers says, not even half, but if anyone looks at his full speeches you can see that they have broader points than the sound bites show.
And for all you supposed Republicans out there, don't you support free speech, especially speech you don't like? Isn't that what our soldiers fought for? You can't have it both ways.
That freedom of speech thing does not work on here. Look how many blogs are pulled. Maybe someone should pull Wright.
Gee what did I miss over the weekend? Someone was actually low-class enough to use that N word???? I mean, we hear it all the time on booming blasting stereos when people drive by - some CDs are full of that word, and I see young black people calling each other that word, but I was taught not to use it as a child and it is offensive to me although I am not black. To me it's as bad a cuss word as any and I can't believe somebody put it in their blog.
And did I read right where the blogger named after a country accused someone else of being bitter and indecent??
Whew I take a few days off from blogging and all you know what breaks loose!
CBWill, you're intelligent so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you haven't actually read the entire sermons where the Wright sound bites were taken from.
If you read them you can see people simply took out the most provocative line or two from a 20-30 minute sermon. Just like you can't vote against McCain for one single vote in the Senate, you can't dismiss Wright's ideas based on a single line or two in a long sermon.
(ps oops on previous post meant to say Wright not Ayers)
That's the whole point of freedom of speech. When the media gets through with it you don't know what is truth and what is fiction. How do you know the entire sermon you are refering to was not doctored. The one thing I had the most problem with was GD America. I can overlook the rest.
Hey there CB - you mentioned higher taxes from Obama. Check out this tax calculator on his website and see which tax plan would benefit you most. Obama's plan saves me $1000 and McCain's saves me zero.
Hey Blog Patrol. It is $500 with Obama and $432 with McCain. That is if I had to even file. My income is non- taxable. That is the only advantage of being old. LOL
I don't care what the context is, when you utter racist comments and "GD America," it's contemptible.
Blog patrol, independent studies have show Obama's plan will not do what he says it will. They also show his porposed taxs will not cover his programs.
That is a very objective way to make a decision, just listen to whatever is said on His website.
Agitator, the comments you made were obviously about the racist, and hateful Rev, Wright. How do you feel about a known terrorist that set bombs in Government buildings?
A few more dollars in my pockets will not do me any good if everything around me is blown up or I am dead.......
That is also what your tax break will be until the Bush Tax breaks run out - keep that in mind - he has no intention of renewing them...I for one love my pink scooter "W" bought me.
Why didn't "W" buy me a scooter? Oh! Yeh! That's right, they don't make them with training wheels. LOL
I found it for you CBWill

All Right! I can skin all kind of butt on that thing. There is a place right up the road from me that sells scooters. I saw a bicycle with a motor on it.
Before my husband passed away he wanted a three wheel bicycle. I found one and bought it for him. Our son bought one of those squeeze bulb horns to put on it. The bike is in the barn in the feed room. I think of him everytime I look at it. I should pump up the tires and ride it.
I do not care what else Bill Ayers has to say. He rose to national prominence as an SDS (students for a democratic society) leader in 1968 and 1969. As head of an SDS regional group, the "Jesse James Gang", Ayers made decisive contributions to the Weatherman orientation toward militancy. The group Ayers headed in Detroit, Michigan became one of the earliest gatherings of what became the Weatherman. Between the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago and the June 1969 SDS convention, Ayers became a prominent leader of the group, which arose as a result of a schism in SDS. "During that time his infatuation with street fighting grew and he developed a language of confrontational militancy that became more and more pronounced over the year [1969]" In June 1969, the Weatherman took control of the SDS at its national convention, where Ayers was elected Education Secretary. Later in 1969, Ayers participated in planting a bomb at a statue dedicated to riot police casualties in the 1886 Haymarket Riot confrontation between labor supporters and the police. The blast broke almost 100 windows and blew pieces of the statue onto the nearby Kennedy Expressway. The statue was rebuilt and blown up again by other Weathermen. Rebuilding it yet again, the city posted a 24-hour police guard to prevent another blast. Ayers participated in the Days of Rage riot in Chicago in October 1969.Ayers participated in the bombings of New York City Police Headquarters in 1970, the United States Capitol building in 1971, and The Pentagon in 1972, as he noted in his 2001 book, Fugitive Days. Ayers was asked in a January 2004 interview, "How do you feel about what you did? Would you do it again under similar circumstances?" He replied: "I've thought about this a lot. Being almost 60, it's impossible to not have lots and lots of regrets about lots and lots of things, but the question of did we do something that was horrendous, awful? ... I don't think so. I think what we did was to respond to a situation that was unconscionable." Ayers characterized his political beliefs at that time and in the 1960s and 1970s: "I am a radical, Leftist, small 'c' communist ... [Laughs] Maybe I'm the last communist who is willing to admit it. [Laughs] We have always been small 'c' communists in the sense that we were never in the Communist party and never Stalinists. The ethics of Communism still appeal to me."
