The City of Statesboro will be hosting its second interactive workshop to seek public involvement in the development of the Statesboro Comprehensive Master Plan. The workshop will be held on Monday, September 29 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at the Honey Bowen Building at Memorial Park on Fair Road. Attendees are asked to park in the rear of the building.

This will be a highly interactive workshop where participants will be asked to provide guidance on the Future Development Map for the City of Statesboro. This map will serve as a tool for decision-makers in guiding new growth and redevelopment opportunities in the community by establishing the appropriate community character throughout the City. In addition to the map, the accompanying narrative will identify a specific vision for each character area and describe the types, forms, styles and patterns of development to be encouraged in each area.

Whether or not you can attend the meeting, go to the city's website to fill out a community survey.

I really wanted to attend this. I forgot about it when I agreed to help with the American Cancer Society thing. Take good notes Phil, and I give you permission to speak for me.
