Memory Walk Planning at Scoops Icecream

Take Me To Post Comment Form

Remember the first time you tasted chocolate ice cream? Remember the taste of a bananna split? Remember the texture of a strawberry smoothie? Memory Walk volunteers met September 30, at Scoops Ice Cream Parlor in the Talbots shopping plaza, and endulged in delicious ice cream, and heard about the November 1st Memory Walk for those in our community who can not remember those pleasant sensations.
The second annual Alzheimer's Associaiton Memory Walk will be held at Bulloch Academy Track from 9:00 to 11:00 am on November 1st with the memorial walk around the track to begin about 10:00am. Thanks to Frank and Marsha Parker of Scoops Ice Cream dozens met to join a team, learn about the walk , and meet the families of those affected by this disease while enjoying a delicious ice cream treat. It is not too late to go to www.alz.org/georgia and find out more about the Memory Walk in Statesboro and about dementia causing illnesses.
