The President Bush visit to Statesboro was an incredibly amazing event.

The atmosphere was electrifying. The room was packed to the maximun capacity that the fire marshal would allow. Everyone waited patiently for the president to arrive.

The preshow music was entertaining. The speakers were funny. The support for Max Burns was obvious.

I met folks from Candler, Effingham, and Screven Counties there.

I saw many Statesboro residents walk miles and miles to attend the event. They were all decked out in their red, white, and blue and many donned their shirts and jackets with their Max Burns stickers in support of Max.

The crowd simply went wild when Burns was introducing the president. The sustained round of applause and cheering went on and on and on.

I was proud to be a Statesboro resident and participate in such an outstanding event.

I thank all of the organizers who made it possible and all of the media for keeping us so well informed of the details as they were made available.

Bravo!
Job well done, Statesboro team!
Job well done!

Sincerely yours,
Tony Phillips

I will say this that I am glad that the president is gone. He is a person like me and you and everyon else. I do not like town being disrupted for any reason and that is what happened. I just want to go to work not listen to some politican talk. They are all the same and that id disrespectful!
