Take Me To Post Comment Form Yesterday when I went to get gas at Gate on South Main street, only 2 pumps were working. All the other pumps had brown paper bags over them. The two working pumps offered just regular gas only. I understand Atlanta area has really been hit hard recently with gas shortage. The media has not said much about it, instead they are devoting coverage to the upcoming election and economy. The shortage is due to hurricanes we've had recently , which hit at a time of year when fuel supplies are already stretched thin. Florida and Tennessee are also states suffering from gas shortage. We don't know how soon the shortages will abate, but hopefully by this weekend we'll see a change for the better.
