Well it seems I'm having as good a success rate as expected out here at I-16 and hwy. 67. I see car after car after car come and go hourly. IS it that the driver is not yet aware that I am here? ALL and I repeat, ALL persons that come through the doors give rave reviews. They comment me on the cleanlines, the hospitality, the service and the improvements made.

YET! More is needed here. I want local artists to bring their work here for display, whether they be painters, sketchers, or writers. CLean, art to show the community in the outskirts of Statesboro. Young and old; it matters not.

My wife and I actually have this in our business plan. Our goal, our plan for this place. ITs more than "another restaurant". It is the go between from Savannah, Macon, Atlanta where the interstate can bring more life and culture into the lives of others outside the "normal hubbub" of activity within city limits.

Its just your Teapotter with his idea, his desire, his willingness to stick his foot out, so COME ON.

What is your business, Teapotter? by " writing," would you mean poetry maybe, or books by local authors?

I haven't heard anything from you Mr. Teapotter since your brother was so ill. How is he? I paint on gourds, not professionaly, just a hobby.

Hiya Watchdog! My wife and I reopened the old Huddle House at 67 and I-16 a couple months ago. Called Teapotters Cafe now. It is my writing name. NS YEWA i MWn powtry, books, etc. I actually have had one writing contest here already.

My brother is...well okay for now. Not much in the way of living but he is alive. Thank you for asking CB.

Gourds huh CBWill? A cool thing. I've seen some really nicely painted ones over the years. Not sure where they would fit in here but who knows. You could bring one or two by that are tastefully painted and we can see.

My hubby and I will come by soon. We live 15 miles on the other side of Statesboro so it's a 30 mile drive out there for us. But we'll make a day of it and bring some of our art to show you. What are your Saturday hours?

Here's a crazy idea... Offer free parking for car poolers and fill up the lot. Then everyone would think the place is packed and stop in. Once they have a taste of your hospitality and cooking, they'll be back!

Free parking? Whooo I actually attempted to get the ride sharers that used the place when it was vacant to simply patronize me a couple three times a week and they all but refused.
Now on that subject, anyone that stops in, comes inside and asks to park here I haven't a problem with. A man actually did this earlier today and had $2.00 in his hand. He asked if he could park here while he rode to Liberty County with someone. I granted this with no problem and told him to keep his money but he wouldn't so I insisisted he accept a to-go sweet tea and he obliged. Coool!

As for you and your hubby; if your willing to make the trek here I hope I am here to welcome and meet you. Now this Saturday, I am sad to say I will be attending my wifes grandmothers funeral in Warner Robbins. At 9 she is finally at rest.
So..if you get the urge come on but hold your work till I am here. We are open from 6a.m. to 10 p.m. Mon. through Sat. open till midnight on Friday and closed Sundays.
