McCain's temper

John McCain (who, by the way is running for President, not Sarah Palin) has a notoriously bad temper. It is well documented and talked about.
Because this blog site has basically turned into an Obama bashing session, I would like to post a link of McCain's top ten temper explosions from a College Conservative. He also cites everything on the list. Take a look: http://blog.case.edu/conservativemovement/2008/01/29/john_mccains_top_ten_temper_explosions

It is Obama's fault he got so upset. No really this list is not going to matter to McCain supporters. It is going to come off as how he will not put up with crap from anyone and will stand up for what he thinks is right. He is an adult he can curse.

LuvHandel commented on Wednesday, Sep 17, 2008 at 18:30 PM

That's the way I look at it. It's good to have a man who will be fighting mad for you and stand up for what is right! We've already seen the guts and charisma this man has as evidenced his documentaries about his past as a soldier. Didn't see any of Nobama Hussein though. No sirreee.

bullochguy commented on Wednesday, Sep 17, 2008 at 18:48 PM

Obama bashing session? Guess you don't read alot on here. There are views from all sides posted, but way more rediculous and untruthful stuff about Mccain/Palin. Aside from the Muslim/anti-christ/swore in on Koran stuff we cleared up a long time ago, can you think of any lies posted about Senator Obama on here? He gets negative stuff abut him, but it is very warranted.

You are right, Mccain is running for President and not Palin. So why do people that support him seem to need to attack her and prove he is better qualified than her? Could it be, he really is so unqualified they want to compair him with the least qualified person they can find to make him look better?

You are right gwarfan. Talk about drinking the Kool-Aid?

southgapassion commented on Wednesday, Sep 17, 2008 at 18:49 PM

Also think it is HI-fargin-larious that you can't mention our future President without mentioning the future Vice President as well! Not even IN the White House and already shaking things up (ya never heard of Cheney until he shot someone!) HAHA!!! :D

I love it....As a McCainocrat - it's cool to see he's "Human" too.

Just to post a quote I now use as my signature "Profanity is but a linguistic crutch for illiterate motherbleepers."

I freakin use it for fargin' emphasis!

Nothing more American than a passionate opinion!

He's not running for "God"....never said he was perfect.

Just for some "fair & balanced" ""Kill the babies"" should be considered profanity as well...and here's some of Obama's recent profanities.

So it's okay for McCain to rant and rave...but not for Obama to slip up in a speech? That makes sense.

And I will admit, Sarah Palin has re-enenrgized the REPUBLICAN PARTY.

I could gives two flips about her.

Truth commented on Wednesday, Sep 17, 2008 at 19:15 PM

I'm more concerned about the policies of the politicians, not their temperments. Words are just words. Period. But a baby is a life.

And I'm more of a water drinker myself. Kool-Aid is wayyy to sweet for me. :)

Democratic Platform Committee member RUNS from Obama...along with SG Passion. Run baby, run!!

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today the McCain-Palin campaign announced the endorsement of Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter and member of the Democratic National Committee's Platform Committee.

"In an election as important at this, we must choose the candidate who has a proven record of bipartisanship and reforming government, and that's John McCain," Rothschild said. "We can't afford a president who lacks experience and judgment and has never crossed party lines to work for meaningful reform. Amid tough economic times and foreign policy concerns, we need someone who is ready to lead. Although I am a Democrat, I recognize that it's more important to put country ahead of party and that's why I support John McCain."

Rothschild, an attorney and businesswoman, supported Sen. Clinton during the Democratic primaries. She will campaign for Sen. McCain through Election Day.

Scargo commented on Wednesday, Sep 17, 2008 at 19:28 PM

I haven't even heard of an incident where Obama lost his temper. Now, stammering and not knowing what to say is another thing...as he is known for that very well. There's a difference.

southgapassion commented on Wednesday, Sep 17, 2008 at 19:32 PM

....eh, what can I say - Great Minds - Really, if after ALL this time, there are people still "Living" the partisan life...seriously...take it from me, it's never too late.

Here's a funny - I really don't like Rush Limbaugh (or however ya spell it) but for once, I COMPLETELY agree with him on Obama - talk about a 180...

and as a HILLARY SUPPORTER in '12....I say this...I felt out of place at the GOP rally (mostly cuz I'm kinda not a GOP) but I can NOT vote for Obama - I just can't - I could easier vote for Biden than Obama. I have a SERIOUS concern that America has put blinders on where he's concerned. A SERIOUS CONCERN!

It's not Partisan, it's not "association". It's PARTICIPATION in the most anti-american hatecentric (sp) things that NO PERSON would be elected into office having the resume like Obama's without the HUGE FINANCIAL BACKING of groups like ACORN..... good lord y'all have me riled up!

Rush gets to me sometimes too, but he is so smart and he has a lot to offer. (too bad he got the bad rap with the prescription meds...but it didn't affect his brain much.)He really "teaches" you to dig for the truth and think deeply. Another very smart man that I would like to see as secretary of state some day because he is so intelligent when it comes to foreign affairs (regardless of part, really) is Newt Gingrich. If you actually just forget for awhile there such things as parties and listen to him...he is truly smarter, in my opinion than George Bush even.

Scargo commented on Wednesday, Sep 17, 2008 at 19:45 PM

I meant to say regardless of party..not part. oops.

southgapassion commented on Wednesday, Sep 17, 2008 at 19:48 PM

Hey Scargo, ya know, I have been listening to interviews w/ Newt and I REALLY like him - I mean, you know where he stands, but he doesn't "twist" things his way, he just states them as they are, good or bad, and it is VERY refreshing.

I bet I could count on my finger (well maybe my toes too) how many times I have cursed in my lifetime (oh I am over 50 LOL), but this election is something that makes me angry enough to curse. I totally understand about feeling "passionate" enough about something to curse or lose your temper. More people need to feel "passion" about this election or McCain just might lose. I am working or the state of Oregon. My daughter's Mother-in-law lives there. She once said "Pigs will fly before I vote Republican". Well NEWS FLASH, Pigs wearing lipstick are flying in Oregon. And then she told me Hell has frozen over because now her very liberal daughter is voting McCain also. I am doing my part coast to coast........

CBWill commented on Wednesday, Sep 17, 2008 at 20:29 PM

Good for you Petunia. I'll be voting for the first time in my life at age 68. That is how passionate I am about the election. That little spit fire SGpassion has me putting lipstick on my horse. LOL

"So it's OK for McCain to rant and rave...but not for Obama to slip up in a speech? That makes sense.

And I will admit, Sarah Palin has re-energized the REPUBLICAN PARTY.

I could gives two flips about her."

Could this last line be because you just care about a party and not the specifics of any candidate alone?

Lets not talk about what it is and is not OK to do. We could ask about Obama's befriending a terrorist, funneling Government funds to a slum lord, taking credit for votes he did not make and introducing Legislation in the state Senate he did not write. The list goes on and on.

You want to vote strictly along party lines, thats your right. It is not very objective or in my eye's honest, but it is your right.

paisley commented on Wednesday, Sep 17, 2008 at 21:16 PM

I don't vote strictly along party lines, I don't agree with Sarah Palin's policies and ideals nor do I McCain's, so I am not going to vote for them. Does that clear it up?

bullochguy commented on Wednesday, Sep 17, 2008 at 21:30 PM

Really? Ok, just what polacies does Senator Obama have that are better? I'd really like to know. It seems any other time I have asked, I have gotten B.S answers like pulling out of Iraq, which we all know he won't do, lowering oil prices, which his polacies won't do, help the economy, which his tax hikes won't do, and unite the country, which his history of friends and advisors shows he won't do!

By the way the fact that you said this has turned into an Obama bashing session, when far, far more lies are posted about Mccain, and Palin here, seem to point to a left wing ideology. Just making observations!

southgapassion commented on Wednesday, Sep 17, 2008 at 21:40 PM

I invite a spirited debate Paisley - I'm w/ BullochGuy - I'd really like to know what actual policies Obama has your support on. If you list them, let's say - top 5. I think that would be awesome. I'm willing to bet it's a party policy not an Obama policy. But I'm totally interested and awaiting your enthusiastic response.

Petunia commented on Wednesday, Sep 17, 2008 at 21:56 PM

I do not vote by party. I study and learn about what each stand for and make an educated decision. Did anyone read the Viewpoints yesterday? The one by Nat Hentoff. His last statement was, (word for word) "We know what Obama did in the Illinois legislature when he had the power to prevent the destruction of live-born babies. But Sen. Casey insists that, as president of the United States, Obama will bring us together on abortion by providing help to pregnant women." So what does that mean? Does everyone know about this? I hope everyone knows what Obama did. This statement makes me feel ill; the lives of these babies were minimized. The thought of live birth late term abortion being left to die, just makes me sick. My daughter called me up crying on the phone when she first heard about this. Obama would rather kill babies than kill terrorist.

Hey CB.... what about me??? :-(

lakerat commented on Thursday, Sep 18, 2008 at 00:53 AM

Me also CB. I feel hurt and left out.

Late stage inducement of labor disguised as abortion is Murder. I do not care what anyone says. Regardless of the means, if a child is born alive and left to die it is murder. The Doctors, Nurses, Parents, and anyone else involved show be charged with murder, pure and simple. Just because sick parents decide they do not want to take responsibility for a child that is developmentally delayed does not give them the right to Murder them. That is no different than the mother in Florida that is in jail for probably killing her 3 year old or any parent that would kill a child. Having your child by inducement and then having them left to die is no different than a parent killing a child. It is both murder.

Obama is Evil. I do not care what Paisley thinks or how she votes. It may help her to get on here and put here two cents worth I think the majority of the Bloggers on here are voting McCain/Palin.

Provide $50 billion to Jumpstart the Economy and Prevent 1 Million Americans from Losing Their Jobs: This relief would include a $25 billion State Growth Fund to prevent state and local cuts in health, education, housing, and heating assistance or counterproductive increases in property taxes, tolls or fees. The Obama-Biden relief plan will also include $25 billion in a Jobs and Growth Fund to prevent cutbacks in road and bridge maintenance and fund school repair - all to save more than 1 million jobs in danger of being cut.

Amend the North American Free Trade Agreement: Obama and Biden believe that NAFTA and its potential were oversold to the American people. They will work with the leaders of Canada and Mexico to fix NAFTA so that it works for American workers.

End Tax Breaks for Companies that Send Jobs Overseas: Barack Obama and Joe Biden believe that companies should not get billions of dollars in tax deductions for moving their operations overseas. Obama and Biden will also fight to ensure that public contracts are awarded to companies that are committed to American workers

Health Care
Guaranteed Eligibility: No American will be turned away FROM ANY INSURANCE PLAN
because of illness or pre-existing conditions.

Affordable Premiums, Co-Pays and Deductibles

Comprehensive Benefits: The benefit package will be similar to that offered through Federal
Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP), the plan members of Congress have. The plan
will cover all essential medical services, including preventive, maternity and mental health care.

Obama will cut income taxes by $1,000 for working families to offset the payroll tax they pay.

Make Community College and College Education Affordable
Obama will create a new American Opportunity Tax Credit that will make tuition at the nation’s community colleges completely free and will cover up to two-thirds the cost of tuition at the nation’s public colleges and universities. This $4,000 tax credit will be fully refundable and available at the time of enrollment in college when families need the money.

Reproductive Choice
Obama has been a consistent champion of reproductive choice and will make preserving a women’s right to choose under Roe v. Wade a priority as president. Obama also supports expanded access to contraception, health information and preventive services to reduce unintended pregnancies.

Create Secure Borders
Obama wants to preserve the integrity of our borders. He supports additional personnel, infrastructure and technology on the border and at our ports of entry.

Bring People Out of the Shadows
Obama supports a system that allows undocumented immigrants who are in good standing to pay a fine, learn English, and go to the back of the line for the opportunity to become citizens.

gwarfan commented on Thursday, Sep 18, 2008 at 10:57 AM

Cutting and pasting works great-----
Obamas plan, sure it is not going to be in the detail that you would like Bull and I know some of the points you do not like and also you only asked for five but here are some to roll around. How hard is it to go to the guys website and there are all of his ideas printed out in a lovely shade of blue. Race and sex have been brought to the front line of this election though and even if there are still sane folks out there who could care less it is not the majority of people that will be at the polls. I would dare say that most voters 80% will be voting along party lines or superfical things like being a woman, being black, or being old.

Truth commented on Thursday, Sep 18, 2008 at 11:42 AM

I would like to know how he is going to provide health insurance to all and at the same time lower taxes. How is he going to make college free and at the same time lower taxes? These are great ideas, but HOW will he do it?

gwarfan commented on Thursday, Sep 18, 2008 at 12:22 PM

He is going to only lower taxes for some is how. I do not agree with windfall profit taxes myself. Absurd really. But in order to set up a good healthcare system that will survice people will still need to pay something for it, it can not be free for all. Also you would need to really limit what you can have done like elective things. Insane with a good HMO will pay for really if oyu check.

Paisley - it's not that it's OK for McCain to rant and not OK for Obama to slip - it's that it's OK to find fault with Obama for something that has nothing to do with his qualifications to be president as it it for someone to find fault with McCain for something that has nothing to do with his qualifications.

Some of us may not agree with you but I am sure none of us expects to change your vote. We may want to, but not expect it. It's your right to vote for your candidate or party or whomever you please for whatever reasons you please.

It's wrong of you to get mad at others for trying to sway your thinking when you're doing the same thing, however. If you dish it out you have to be able to take it.

I wish somebody would manufacture some "Republican Red" lipstick in a pink case with the words "Palin" on it written in Republican blue! Wouldn't that be a cute "party" favor?

southgapassion commented on Thursday, Sep 18, 2008 at 16:00 PM

Reading that pasted "plan" made me throw up a lil in my mouth....and "Government managed healthcare" rings in my ears...and it's a socialist society he's talking about. People joke about Obamanhood (robin hood) but it's no joke.

That man could hand me $5000 a month for the next 4 years and I would STILL not vote for him!

WRONG on the economy! WRONG on RIGHTS TO LIFE! WRONG on taxes! WRONG on homeland security! WRONG on dealing with foreign nations! WRONG on Israel! WRONG on Healthcare! WRONG as an American! Wrong as "representing" black men spewing radical fews and hate for White people (hey, I have to play white, but you black people know what's going on, right? *wink wink*) WHY WOULD YOU FALL FOR THAT??? WRONG FOR AMERICA!

Sigh - I feel like I'm spinning in circles with some of you...what is it that you like about this man? Why would you give your hard earned FAITH & TRUST & MONEY & SAFETY & ETHICS & JUDGEMENT into this man...I really need to know cuz it just makes no sense to me....I mean...I'm completely blown away he still has supporters who continue to be blind to his.....ugh....his EVERYTHING!

gwarfan commented on Thursday, Sep 18, 2008 at 16:21 PM

Southgapasion
Your completely overlooking race and charisma in the guy if you have no idea why. I dont think the man would be good for the country myself honestly. But I do not dismiss all his ideas right out the gate. There is health care out there for people with no money at all but it is crappy and really on just emergency care. I think it is heartless to not provide free health care for children if their parents are not covered, espeically if your for having every baby born that comes along. McCain is not against abortion either though so that becomes a non issue in the race. I think most folks are looking for a job with health care provided at a reasonable rate though.

what is his stance on Isreal that is wrong? I dont even know where he stands on that but America backs up Isreal even when they are not in the right. I agree with that stance to a point and they have not gotten there yet.

There is no need to raise taxes on anyone. I agree corporations should not have to carry the load for governement programs. They should be working on making the government smaller and spending less time spending money on steriods in sports and use that money to pay some bills. To many hand outs and not enough accoutability for it. Mistakes in goverment agencies like FEMA are huge and no one seems to care if it is not on the news.

watchdog commented on Thursday, Sep 18, 2008 at 16:39 PM

gwarfan, let me tell you about healthcare for people with no money.
They rush you through an appointment you had to travel out of town for, made in advance three months prior, and treat you like vermin. If you are hospitalized they send you home as soon as possible - even if you are still ill - because you have no money. They give you the least amount of care and time and compassion because you are not making them rich.
How do I know? I have a close relative who fought for disability five years - a man who had amputations and a disease that rendered him barely able to walk and unable to open a jar - now, as he finally got his benefits, he is getting real medical attention and actually iimproving after five years of going downhill.

I speak the TRUTH!!! Medical care for those without money is absolute crap. I agree with you on this.

gwarfan commented on Thursday, Sep 18, 2008 at 16:44 PM

Indigent care is horrid. But sadly that is life for some people. It is sad that someone that really needs disablity care and coverage has to go through so much crap to get there but that is because of some shady people out there looking to get a free ride or con the system. I have seen that angle with disability and fraud with people getting checks that were just fine. I worked for a guy that would make me carry things to his care every night after work, i thought it was because he was hurt but he told me it was so he would not get caught doing it because he was on disability. But I have a friend now that cant use his legs and he has been working but the pain from what ever it is he has is so bad he can not sit down any more most of the time and is so drugged up on pain killer he can not work. I would say someone that can not walk, has constant internal issues, and in constant pain should ahve no problem getting disabiltiy coverage but he is having to go through loop after loop after loop to get it. Sad that the abuse by some make those who truely need the help suffer.

watchdog commented on Thursday, Sep 18, 2008 at 17:01 PM

I know a woman who gets a check because she can't read. Another woman who gets a check for asthma but is covered - literally - in tattoos. She can afford those but won't work and gets a check from taxpayers who are paying for her body art! She walks everywhere and is completely fit enough to work.

Well heck if I knew you could get a check for not being able to read I would have signed up for that program. "Uh...I just cant read it man. No I cant do it." Is she blind maybe and that is why she cant read and gets disability? Illiteracy, ironic how i might not be able to spell the word right thoguh, is not a disability for crying out loud. Why not send me a check becasuse I am depressed next. That is what I mean by wasted money.

gwarfan commented on Thursday, Sep 18, 2008 at 16:17 PM " Wrong as "representing" black men spewing radical fews and hate for White people " what does that mean by the way?

What that means is I absolutely do not believe that his hate of the "white in him" or "White people" is a stance that "All black people" take. I refuse to believe that all black people hate me because I'm not their skin color. I refuse to believe that America is so racist and cynical that when waving a car to move ahead, the decision is based on the color of my skin and not human decency.

Obama is blatantly pandering to an elitist crowd (which arguable is neither white or black) but meanwhile, the "Elephant" in the room (check this story http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/... ) is, I believe, being used. His speeches, depending on the crouds - sometimes he pronounces his G's...sometimes he "don't". Sometimes he sounds "regular", sometimes, he sounds like an empassioned preacher...exagerating his "r"s and standing on tip toes for emphasis. "I identify" "My grandmother is a Typical white person"...etc etc etc...

I know right now that there are black people voting for him for the simple fact that he is black. (a fact that was recently told to me by a friend and now Obama supporter who happens to be black...)

You are absolutely correct watchdog, I am COMPLETELY overlooking race. Why would I even consider it? How is that able to even enter into anyone's mind when voting for a candidate....I feel that some people are expected to vote based on color and I can't understand asking them to do that, expecting them to do that....thinking in those terms...I just don't get it.

As far as Israel's concerned - gather all the info you need
http://shroudedindoubt.typepad.com/bodyp...

Be sure to watch the video - this man is NOT who he says he is. The content of his Character is evil and against everything America holds dear. It is, in all actuality, like MLK Jr dreamed based not on the color of his skin but by the CONTENT of his CHARACTER.

southgapassion commented on Thursday, Sep 18, 2008 at 17:45 PM

our states can fund the healthcare for children who aren't covered - peachcare does....why is that a federal requirement? I do not want the federal government in my life any more than it has to be (oddly enough for a democrat saying that...good lord have I converted???)

gwarfan commented on Thursday, Sep 18, 2008 at 18:01 PM

If he is pro Palestinian he is going to be in for a lot of grief in American politics. Isreal is our ally and if he publicly has one stance and tries to do another he is going to get it from both parties. I do not want to hear the Zionist BS from anyone either please. His race is not an issue for like 98% of white people because we really do not think about race as much as an issue in life. I would not want to boo hoo any minority group out there but they deal with race issues daily and historically. I heard Boortz say something that struck me and it might explain it better. If your grandparents were kept held down by a group of people and your parents did not gain real freedom until adulthood you might see race differently. Then along comes one of your own and has the chance to be elected to the top office in the country it only makes sense to overlook things you might disagree with. Race as an issue has come leaps and bounds in the past what 60 years but it is not perfect and it never will be. There is not a place on the planet where different races do not have conflict sadly.

gwarfan commented on Thursday, Sep 18, 2008 at 18:11 PM

I dont know what peachcare covers actually because I get jobs with health care as a benifit. But if the state is taking care of children and doing a good job then screw universal health care. I say take care of the elderly, the disabled, and children. Otherwise your an adult and I do not care. The only reason you would need the fed maybe to step in is to make sure state health care is excepted in other states and that there are basic standards that are meet. But that should not cost billions of dollars to oversee.
