Redsatinblacklace, I have to respond to your blog. I know I am outnumbered here in South Georgia with my "liberal" views, but I just have to give my opinion on this.

Democratic leaders have come out and said that Sarah Palin's daughter being pregnant is a personal matter. In fact, Barack Obama echoes your sentiments exactly: "This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Governor Palin's performance as a governor, or her potential performance as a vice president. So, I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories. You know, my mother had me when she was 18."

The state of Alaska might be bigger in terms of land area, but it is 47th in terms of population. So, are you saying she was a good governor because there is a lot of land in Alaska? Doesn't really make sense to me.

Obama doesn't mock people who are religious. This is one of the biggest misconceptions about Democrats. You know, we can believe in God too? It's true!

Why is everyone comparing Obama to Palin? I would like that question answered as well.

I don't like her comments about Hillary Clinton and helping to shatter the glass ceiling. While I appreciate her kind words toward her, Clinton earned those votes, Palin was chosen by someone else so they could use her to get some votes and will be number 2 on the ticket.

Comparing Biden's name to bin Laden? Have we really stooped this low? Is there nothing substantial you can attack him on? He is not hiding, he was in Wisconsin Tuesday campaigning!

If we want to debate, let's debate with the truth.

That's a WalMart Mom for ya.

CBWill commented on Wednesday, Sep 10, 2008 at 08:07 AM

Deborah, I see nothing wrong with WalMart. I bet you even shop there.

Scargo commented on Wednesday, Sep 10, 2008 at 11:35 AM

She has also been in charge of the National Guard there. The attacks on her are getting more and more attention and the public is finding they love her. I say we let this be and just move on to something else. Dems and liberals will fight tooth and nail to smear her...and I don't think I'm going to a part of the hate and narrow-mindedness any more.

The hate and narrow-mindedness? Hate pretty much describes Sarah Palin's speech last Wednesday. You can call Democrats a lot of things, but narrow-minded? Give me a break!

" Obama doesn't mock people who are religious."

Can you explain how the line "people clinging to their religion and their guns" pennslyvania primiary, is not mocking them a little?

Deborah Lee commented on Wednesday, Sep 10, 2008 at 15:17 PM

Dearest Watchdog,
If you would goggle Wal-Mart mom you would see that it is not a put down,it is a demographic used by radio, television or anyone trying to sell woman something. They have studied these woman and they are woman who do not understand politics and can easily be persuaded to vote for someone.

southgapassion commented on Wednesday, Sep 10, 2008 at 17:24 PM

Humm...I think I missed something - the Wal-mart hysteria has me curious - was there something about Wally World I missed?

gwarfan commented on Wednesday, Sep 10, 2008 at 18:07 PM

There is nothing wrong with Walmart except it kills small bussiness and does not care about its employees. That is why they have great prices and thank heavens. But there is a lot more in the world than Walmart, there is Target.

ambiguous commented on Wednesday, Sep 10, 2008 at 20:29 PM

Wal-mart does not kill small business! People kill small business. No one is required to shop at Wal-mart. People make a choice to shop at Wal-mart because they think they can save a buck. If you want to support small businesses, spend the extra money and shop at a small business. I say all of this as a person who comes from a family of small business owners.

Let me refer to Deborah Lee's comment.. you make me think Whoopi is blogging amongst us.
First of all the word is google not goggle. Second of all the plural for woman is women. And not demographic, but demographic term. This is about as bad as Obama thinking there are 57 states. He said it not me.

Now, to Paisley...there was nothing, absolutely nothing about Sarah Palin's speech that was hateful.

luv your handles. Great comeback

CBWill commented on Thursday, Sep 11, 2008 at 08:42 AM

It is a put-down, if we are to understand you meaning of the phrase. It means women that shop at WalMart are stupid and will buy anything. Well I shop there but I do not buy into all the malarkey Obama is throwing at us. You can't put lipstick on this pig.

watchdog commented on Friday, Sep 12, 2008 at 11:27 AM

DL, thank you for educating me on the meaning behind Wal-Mart Mom but I still consider it a rude insult regardless whether the media has used the term.

Echoing CBWill's comment, 'cause I could not have said it any better.
