Take Me To Post Comment Form

I know that for me and other bloggers, going onto the Community Web site to read the blogs and comments is a fun part of my day, and I look forward to reading and contributing to the thoughts and opinions voiced on the site.

Recently, there have been postings on this Web site that have been removed because they violated the terms and conditions that have been set forth on the site. These guidelines were developed to help ensure that the spirit of the Community site is maintained. This is a forum to post your opinions, and agree or disagree with your fellow bloggers. I cannot say that I personally agree with everything that is posted in all of the blogs or comments, but it is not my right to delete or remove postings that I do not agree with.

However, it is my job to ensure that individuals are not subjected to vicious personal attacks on this site. It is possible to disagree with an individual or entity without turning it into a free-for-all bashing of a person’s character.

The guidelines on the site state, in part, the following:

“Statesboro Herald encourages readers to interact with one another. We will not edit your comments, but we reserve the right to delete any comments, and media. We will delete comments and media that could be considered as:

·                  damageable, injurious, defamatory, libelous toward persons or organizations

·                  obscene, vulgar, profane, abusive, bullying, harassing or threatening racially

·                  ethnically or religiously offensive, discriminatory in any way, advertising

·                  promotes illegal or criminal acts, impersonation of another person or entity

By submitting this form you agree to the terms and conditions listed above.”

By providing this site, we are providing you, the blogger, a place to voice your opinions and viewpoints.  However, this site is not an appropriate forum to attack individuals or create a potentially damageable, injurious, defamatory, libelous or unsafe situation for others.

Generalities are one thing. Providing specific information that can be considered in violation of the above terms and conditions is quite another, and (understandably) will not be permitted.  Adherence to the policies that are in place is appreciated, as it provides for the safety and consideration of the bloggers on this Web site.  Have fun, agree or disagree, but please do it in a way that is not in violation of these terms.

Thank you in advance for your understanding, your posts, and your comments, and for making this a fun and informative vehicle to express your thoughts and opinions.

Thank you Ness.

Not a problem. I just hope this clears up any confusion.

gwarfan commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 15:25 PM

Well I completely intended to have my neighbor --- Mr Rogers, at 123 Main St ---- murdered by zombies.

gawalkman commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 15:50 PM

Thank you Ness.

CBWill commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 16:30 PM

Hey, gwarfan, I've got connections, and I think I can get you reduced rates at Georgia Regional Hospital in Augusta. I think you need to check in real soon.

gwarfan commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 16:50 PM

Everyone says your crazy till the truth comes crashing down. Yhey laughed at Jesus, they laughed at Bill Cosby, they laughed at Hilter and they said they were crazy. Maybe they were and maybe they were not. I am merely the herald of the zombie unrising to come. The none believes will be devoured and rise again. I have a lot of time on my hands.

CBWill commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 17:10 PM

I can see that. Have you considered getting a hobby? Maybe you could grow mushrooms.

Jake Hallman commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 17:16 PM

For some reason now I can't get a vision of Daniel Striped Tiger and X the Owl craving brains out of my head.

gwarfan commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 17:43 PM

Grow mushrooms huh. First off I would have to find the mushrooms, then how am i going to find a fresh suply of cow poo that can sustain them. Or are you talking about like shutaki or morells. Odd you should mention that because i actually priced out the stuff and read up on it. I crochet though so that is a hobby i guess. I also love to drink but people do not want to think of that as a hpbby.

I don't know what type of mushrooms there are. I have plenty of horse crap. Will that do? Years ago we had cows and a friend I worked with wanted me to pick mushrooms out of it for her. I thought she was crazy. But then she would try anything. She even talked me into smoking some whacky bacca. I could not do it. All I did was about cough my brains out. She said you had better learn how to smoke salem lites first.

gawalkman commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 18:27 PM

How did we get so off subject here?

We should be ashamed of ourselves for talking about doing things with mushrooms (wild ones especially)... too many people have been hurt or killed by such actions.

CBWill commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 18:41 PM

Because gwarfan was gonna have Mr. Rodgers murdered by zombies, and I suggested a stay at hospital or get a hobby. What about zombies, do they kill people?

CBWill commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 18:45 PM

You can get hurt with just about anything.

gwarfan commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 18:50 PM

Whats wrong with wild mushrooms? As long as your properly trianed in what to eat and not your fine. I like a good wild mushroom medley myself, with some garlic and olive oil baked. Darn good. Of course zombies kill people. They feed on human flesh. I suppose horse poo is as good as cow but there is something different in their stomachs maybe with psychotropic mushrooms. Now a nice protabello far might work. I am ashamed though. Ashamed at the lack of real knowledge of fungi and its postive and recreational use in this counrty. People who go out and pick any old thing and eat it sort of failed the test of life.

CBWill commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 18:56 PM

Like I said gwarfan, I think there is a room ready for you but then who would I act a fool with? Everybody else is so serious. I tried to be serious on Gary55's blog and you see what happened. I think I caused it to be pulled. So from now on there will be no more serious for me.

gwarfan commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 19:05 PM

There is a time and place for serious. Funerals, retarded children, nuns, rape, cancer, genocide, and welfare. Outside that why not enjoy life. I like to mix humor with real world fun myself. Like teach a kid about politics at the circus.

CBWill commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 19:11 PM

gawalkman has already said that we are off track. He is gonna report us to Ness. Then I guess I'll go watch tv.

gwarfan commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 19:20 PM

back on point then. I have a question or four

" promotes illegal or criminal acts, impersonation of another person or entity "

if we are not promoting, like saying do it or its ok to do it, we can discuss illegal or criminal acts i assume but on the impersonation or another person or entity thing i get lost. So i can t pretend to be a zombie then like "zombie" does? By entity does that mean real or imagined? Like a unicorn is not real but a bus is. Santa is not real. By Impersonate do you mean like I set up a fact name and pretend to be them or i say type {in Mr Rogers Voice} Wont you be my neighbor?

religiously offensive
So if I say there is no god is that offensive or just a thought? I get no slurs of folks that wear a lot of hats and what not but doesnt the existence or no existence of a divine being call into potentionally offensive? Not like the people that are trying to kill me of course i know i cant go there even though it is not serious.

Thank you

bullochguy commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 20:54 PM

I believe people want better explanations of why certain blogs were pulled. Not vague statements.

Like many did not understand why the blog about the club downtiwn was pulled. Every statement about the owner was true, and he was not mentioned by name until a friend of his defending him did. It looked like his name was mentioned just o get the blog pulled. Why not pull just a comment? The public deserves to know somethings and we know it won't be in the paper.

Gary55 commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 21:27 PM

Wow this is concerning another blog critical of the---
gone. Mayby there is no First Amendment, so what is our country fighting for in all the wars? All the dead solders for nothing. What a shame.

gwarfan commented on Monday, Aug 04, 2008 at 22:27 PM

Of course there is a first amendment. But you are limits to that freedom. You do not have a right to say anything you want anytime you want. Like the old fire thing or liable or in this case when you agree to certain rules.

CathrynEGlasford commented on Tuesday, Aug 05, 2008 at 01:20 AM

Please stay tune to this Blog, we shall continue after this brief commercial break…

gwarfan commented on Tuesday, Aug 05, 2008 at 12:52 PM

Back when I was in Vietnam (not the war) we did not have freedom of speech. We just did what we were there to do and liked it. Bringing up dead soilders in a blog seems like a cheap shot. Those boys died so you and I would not have to. You would think that someone who cares about bringing up bad feelings and dead kids you could work around that. My family got destroyed during various wars the US has fought, on both sides mind you, and it seems they died for more than a right but all of our rights. They fight for pride in their country no matter where that might be and to protect the loved ones.

CalamityJane commented on Tuesday, Aug 05, 2008 at 17:07 PM

Bullochguy - get over it will ya? Go back to Portal and stop thinking there's a conspiracy.Yeah, I know you - guess who! Tee hee!

Gawalkman, lighten up. Nobody is seriusly talking about abusing mushrooms.

gwarfan, I think you already had too many cow poo mushrooms but you're still funny.

CBWill, people say horse poo isn't the same. I wouldn't know 'cause I don't like any kinda mushrooms, wild ones or not. (yech)

bullochguy commented on Tuesday, Aug 05, 2008 at 20:02 PM

HUH? I was just pointing out that many don't understand why certain blogs were pulled. Nothing to get over.

bullochguy commented on Tuesday, Aug 05, 2008 at 20:04 PM

I believe ypu once posted a blog about whole blogs getting pulled because of comments.

Regulator commented on Wednesday, Aug 06, 2008 at 19:17 PM

Yeah, she did, bullochguy. And that dog is tired of huntin'... new topic, new day, been there and done that. The reasons done been explained to death.
