District 12 debate

The Statesboro Herald, in cooperation with Ogeechee Technical College is sponsoring a Democratic primary debate for U.S. House District 12, held at OTC’s Joseph E. Kennedy Building auditorium July 2 at 7 p.m.

The debate will pit two-term Congressman John Barrow (D) from Savannah against challenger Regina Thomas, a Georgia state senator also from Savannah.

The debate will be moderated by Statesboro Herald Executive Editor Jim Healy and will feature a standard question-response format. In addition, members of the audience will be invited to submit questions for the candidates before the debate begins.

In addition, please feel free, fellow bloggers, to post a question for the candidates here.

I hope if Miss Thomas gets elected she won't be wasting all them tax dollars on making them aggravating phone calls you get right when you sit down to supper like Mr. Barrow does. Makes me sick getting them calls all the time, and calling that no-call list don't do no good.
Ask 'em who pays for those automated calls and how much they cost us tax payers.

uhhh couldn't make it. and got interrupted during it. is there a way to watch it. I'd like to know where they both stand on the attempt by the Dems to limit free speech in the media.
