Statesboro-Bulloch Park and Recreation will be offering dog obedience classes with Jacie’s Canine Academy throughout the summer. These classes will teach your dog the basic commands needed to live in harmony with you. Sit, down, stay, come, and how to walk your dog properly on a leash are all taught in a fun, stress-free environment using the method of positive reinforcement. There are four classes offered during the summer. These classes, which begin the week of June 23, include: Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays evening classes based on dog size or on Tuesdays in the morning for all dogs. These classes are open to dogs four months and older and the prices for the classes are $60 for rescued/sheltered dogs, GSU/OTC students and senior citizens or $85 for all others. Space is limited so be sure to save your spot before June 19 at the Honey-Bowen Building. For more information please contact Alison Brown at (912) 489-9059.

Who is teaching the class? I have not heard of Jacie's Canine Academy.

Hi Kathleen,
Beth Kingsmill is the instructor and is new in town--only been here about a year. She has trained dogs in Las Vegas where's she's from. She has a business license here in town. She is a stay at home mom and has decided to offer her classes here in town and approached us about partnering and offering the classes through our department.
