The Pilot club of Statesboro promotes the prevention of brain related diseases/disorders/injuries and provides services to individuals who have suffered a brain related injury or illness. The group sponsors varied activities including the Silver Lining Day Club, support groups for both Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease and electronic monitoring devices for those who wander.
In December, 2007, Pilot Club President Lyne Burney presented checks to two organizations, the Senior Companion Program and The Bulloch County Food Bank in recognition of their work with individuals in the community.
