Thousands March For Gun Control

Thousands marched in Washington D.C. for gun control. They want Congress to pass more gun control laws to limit citizens 2nd Amendment Rights. This march provides an educational opportunity to discuss the 2nd Amendment and the U.S. Constitution.

Today, there are very few citizens, lawyers, judges, and politicians that have studied and learned our Constitution. It is why we are in the political mess we are in. Any gun control law passed by Congress, a State Legislature or City Council is UN-Constitutional, even those we enforce on our citizens today.

The 2nd Amendment states the following:
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed”. Congress can not pass a law to infringe (limit) 2nd Amendment Rights.

Militia are able bodied men with their own firearms. They, the Militia form the security of the free State. Our States are Free and Independent States which is why each has it’s own Chief Executive Branch, The Governor, a Judicial Branch with it’s own courts including a Supreme Court, and a Legislative Branch. There are now 50 Independent States that make up our “Union” and each has citizens with firearms to protect the security of their State, including protecting the State from unlawful UN-Constitutional Congressional laws the Federal Government passes to take away 2nd Amendment Rights.

Several Constitutional Amendments have a clause which allows the Federal Government to pass laws that further regulate what the Amendment covers, such as is in the 3rd Amendment: No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law. Prescribed by law allows Congress to pass laws under the 3rd Amendment on how to house soldiers during times of war. Other such clauses in the Amendments are “Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation”, found in the 13th Amendment.

The clause in the 2nd Amendment forbids the Federal Government from passing any law, meaning that Congress can not pass any law that infringes (limits) the Rights of the people to keep and bear Arms.

Congress can only write a Constitutional Amendment that removes the "shall not be infringed" clause, and add a clause allowing Congress to "enforce this article by appropriate legislation"; get it passed by a two thirds majority in both the House and the Senate, then ratified by two thirds of the States, to add such a clause to the 2nd Amendment, allowing Congress to regulate 2nd Amendment Rights.

So, to those who marched in Washington today, I say this: you need a Constitutional Amendment, and sadly, you don’t know you do, because of the lack of Civics education over the past seventy years in our schools.

Any change to the Constitution requires very specific action. The founders set it up with many protections in place. An amendment would be needed to create any change regarding this, which would require a majority of the states to vote in favor of the amendment. That's the only legal way to change it.Unless of course we have law breakers among our leadership.
