BOE Diversity Plan

The "Blind Hiring Process" used by the BOE is the fairest way to hire the best qualified teachers. The BOE uses a Blind Process that deals only with the applicant’s qualifications. Race, nationality, or any other identity language is stripped from the application to insure the applicant receives a fair review. This process zeros in on the person’s qualifications and allows the best qualified to be hired to teach the children.

The goal should be to hire the best qualified teachers to teach the children. Bulloch County has had a long standing commitment to Excellence. The awards the schools have received, together with the statewide reputation of outstanding achievement, and teacher awards is a testament to the teacher hiring process used to find the best qualified teachers.

The Blind Process being used is the only way to continue to find the best qualified teachers. The job of the BOE is to find the best qualified teachers to teach the children of Bulloch County. Having the best qualified teachers, benefits all the children that attend Bulloch County Public Schools.

The Blind Process is working and benefiting all the children.

June 30, 2017
The 4th of July 1776 was our Independence Day, and still is. Sadly, if a news reporter were to go to Mill Creek Park for the Fireworks display and day long activities, and asked people why they were there, I doubt anyone would say “To celebrate our Independence, Our Freedom ...
