Bryant: What does a community organizer do ,when his party is trounced at the polls, he loses the House, the Senate, and now the Presidency to the Republicans? He organizes street demonstrations, campus riots, protest marches, and shouting matches at town hall meetings. It is all he knows how to do. Sad, very sad.
Maybe I'm way off base here...but I really don't get why people are all one way or the other time after time. Through my years I've watched presidents come and go. But never have I seen such disdain for the office that I've witnessed over the last 15 years or so. It's become more a gang mentality between people, or a football game where people stand by their "team" no matter what. My hope for the American people is that we will revisit the practice of looking objectively at individual actions taken by this office, and be more critical thinkers as to where a specific idea or action might take us down the road. Maybe we might stop and think as we spew our opinions all over each other as to whether we could do the job we are so quick to criticize.
I'm literally amused watching the media stir the pot on the "investigation". Here's my conclusion after examining the situation at hand.... the information that was released in the hacked emails was TRUE. That was already confirmed by the FBI. True information helped an electorate confirm what they already knew... that candidate had taken actions that were not acceptable.
So now we are continuing to investigate and convict before all the info is even out...which is another thing we do. No longer can we say innocent before proven guilty in our country. We hang people out to dry before we even have the facts. I would say this no matter who it was or what their political affiliation. If we look at history, we've seen people go down who represented both sides of our political system. In this case now, I"m watching carefully and making individual determinations about actions being taken. Some I like and some I don't. Maybe we can begin having more objective discussions rather than just condemning someone for their political affiliation. ???
