Fellow artists,artlovers and art supporters, a great opportunity to view the inception and completion of a portrait can be seen during the Nov. 2 First Friday Art Walk from 5pm to 7pm. Mayor Hatcher will be present, as the subject, to sit for this event. Vilas Tonapes, noted figurative artist,{geocities.com/tonape} will be the artist.Refreshments will be available. After completion Mayor Hatcher will be presented the completed portrait. Come and enjoy First Friday Art Walk, live music, and Statesboro restaurants will be out in force offering their finest fare for the tasting. Great family and date night.

This was a really great event, thus far one of my favorite here in Statesboro. Mayor Hatcher looked very impressed with the finished product and it was really nice to meet him after. Thanks for letting me know about it! Can't wait until the next Friday Art Walk.
