PSC seat in Republican Primary

Take Me To Post Comment Form

For those of you who have not voted early and will be voting Republican tomorrow, I have one entreaty. For the Public Service Commission seat do not vote for the incumbent, "Bubba" McDonald.

McDonald has admitted reports in the Atlanta Constitution that he comes to work less than 1/2 the time. This from a "public servant" who earns $ 116,000. And one who has consistently voted to approve whatever rate hikes Georgia Power trots out.

Of the other two, Messrs. Kidd and Lutz, I get no real warm fuzzy feeling from either but am leaning toward Kidd because of his stance on rising energy costs. Lutz does have a good position on biomass fuel development, however.

2016 Election
November 20, 2015
Here's a link to a good article outlining issues and numerous other links for background. (Trying to move away from the issue de jour.) Pay close attention to the incarceration rates since 1980 (you can thank Ronnie and "Just Say No) and give Governor Deal and our legislators a big ...

House of Representatives
November 20, 2015
Once again, the House of Representatives has acted quickly and decisively to address a problem that doesn't exist. Americans can rest easy now that those nasty Syrian and Iraqi refugees are destined to wait even longer than the two years or so they wait now to emigrate to the US, ...

Speculation in the Media
September 17, 2015
Here's a link to a talk Michael Crichton gave in 2002 about speculation in (not only) the media. It is as relevant today if not more so. As a viewer of Sunday morning news shows such as Meet the Press, I find the quality and information presented of continually eroding ...
