Just when you think things at City Hall might be turning around they now want to investigate whether kammodes are working or are open. Maybe we can have Mr. Lewis go inspect the international student dorm on campus and the City Manager can go inspect his competitors apartment complexes the have pools and gyms.

Your tax dollars at work.

an officially appointed task force and an investigative committee need to be set up to look into this!

Sorry, but if stop to gas up and need to pee, I don't want to be told there is no restroom nor do I want to be told to hold it til I get home.

Most convenience stores, grocery stores and other places of public access have reasonably accessible facilities. Those that don't, should.

why doesnt the city just drop a port- a- potty in all the parking lots at the ghetto marts and charge all the business owners a fee?-- sounds like a revenue maker to me

I think the new mayor should assign Will Britt and Wendell Turner to the Toilet Task Force that dirtroadlady came up with.

Worst Intersections in the County
June 04, 2014
Well ya' hafta hand it to the county. At least they are trying to solve intersection problems before they happen. I think the roundabouts are a good idea. The city waits until the tidal wave of development comes and then they install traffic lights after it's too late. So, this ...

Say No To Rain Tax
April 05, 2014
The proposed storm water utility fee is a tax by another name. It operates the same as property tax except there's no market value. The only market value is anything that doesn't absorb water. By Arjun line the courts have allowed the rain tax to be called a fee which ...

New County Annex
June 02, 2013
I don't know why the historic society and the Herald are making a stink about the new County building. They don't even know what they are talking about. They call the old bank and the new First Baptist Church sanctuary traditional. Traditional to what? Why was nobody complaining about the ...

City Council to Raise Water Rates Again
March 16, 2013
The Statesboro City Council is quietly raising water and sewer rates again from 15-40% at their meeting next week. This time on businesses, government and apparently Georgia Southern. That's just going to make everything more expensive and explains why so many businesses are leaving the City. It's just a backdoor ...

Kudos to County Commission
September 20, 2012
It's nice to see the County Commissioners reach out to the public by having meetings around the county. Yes, some of it is out of necessity with the obvious renovations at the Commission office, but at least they are trying. Unlike the City of Statesboro, they at least have enough ...
