Yes, it can be a fun game to play in moderation. However, if the state of Georgia really wanted some of our money they would pass a law allowing us to claim the jackpot anonymously. Some states allow winners to claim the prize and remain anonymous to the press and everyone else. Georgians do not have the luxury of voluntarily remaining anonymous.
More people in Georgia might play more often if we had that protection option. Now, how you choose to broadcast to the world about your new million home is your choice. However, we should have the option of not publicizing to the world on national television too.
How do we change the rules? Contact your state representatives in Atlanta and ask them to consider changing to a system where winners can remain anonymous if they so choose.
