In November, we are often reminded of the things for which we should be thankful – outstanding family members or friends, our homes, health, employment, etc. We are also beginning to feel that traditional holiday pressure as we start shopping for gifts, planning our holiday schedules and prepping our “season’s greetings” cards.
Our beauty columnist, Casey Alexander, hopes to help us step back from that holiday stress and focus on the good things in our lives. Turns out turning that frown into a smile can save you from more than a few wrinkles.
Also in this month’s issue we have a feature on the value of eating organic foods. Kristan Fretwell, of Hunter Cattle Company, says choosing organic products is better for consumers, animals and the environment. In the article she shares how she hopes to pass along her views on healthful eating to her children.
Our Go Girl this month is Kate Brannen, a local mom plays an active role in the PTO at her children’s school, volunteers regularly and is dedicated to teaching her children important values like loving the Lord. She leads a Bible study group for moms and is the director for the Girls in Action program for first- through fifth-grade girls at First Baptist Church Statesboro.
We also have articles on how to create that perfect portrait for your holiday cards and an article on how moms and babies can benefit from adding probiotics to their diets.
We hope you really enjoy this month’s issue of Moments, and we hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
