The school is friendly to the military students - with their scheduling, advising and class availability. Though I can see how you would think flying the flag would be of upmost importance to the education of our service men and women.
I'm sure if you were in charge of the award, the conversation would have gone like this:
"GSU has great facilities. They are flexible with student's deployment time. They have great advising and class offerings. I'd say we give them an excellent......now wait just a doggone minute.....there are no flags in front of the dorms?? What a bunch of anti-American slobs!! NO AWARD FOR YOU!!"
