I wish the GBI would take a look at Statesboro city goverment.I bet they would find some things there for sure.
You betcha! This is better than a night at the movie cliff. Hangers. What is going to happen next? Hehehoho. Oops, better not stir the pot too much! Lol
Indicted is not guilty. Where there is smoke there is fire. Innocent until proven guilty. Anybody want to throw some more bromides into the mix?
Yes I am in agreement with you 100% however let's be real. There are some counties that don't work that way and you know this to be true. Guilty until proven innocent. Is how it works but that is beside the point. Grant you, if they are guilty then shame on them for taking advantage of the people of Bulloch County. The people of this. County put their faith in these officals to be honest and trustworthy in handling the affairs by vote. If they are innocent, then we pray that jutice will prove itself and eventhough she is blind we hope she is correct and do the right thing. We also pray it does not go any further in the judical system but that's another story and another front page news article in the headlines.....
I have a question? I noticed that in the first article that was published about this unfortunate mess Previous Clerk Sherri Akins said that this investigation was prompted by a disgruntled employee that had been fired by Tucker. This employee had worked for Akins and Tucker. My observation is that this investigation started in mid 2010 but the "fired employee" was not fired until Dec. 2011. So how does this make sense? Sounds like she may have been fired because she ratted someone out in 2010. Help me here. Lots of pieces here but so far they don't fit together. Also why did this investigation take so long? I am not making any judgements here at all other than saying that I hope for these ladies that they did no wrong. If they did violate their oath and/or "steal" any of the funds meant for the county till then they should receive the punishment. Anyone know anything here?
I know all five of these women and I am surprised by this. If they are guilty then they should suffer the consequences. A person is innocent until proven guilty, or at least that is how it should be. Statesboro is not know for its lack of Hippocrits however and it is giving those folks something to talk about, and they are talking!
question on the "innocent until proven guilty". if your innocent until proven guilty, why do they hold you in jail until your found guilty(or innocent)@ the trial???? if your innocent you shouldn't be in jail should you??
just a thought
Good point...I guess that is when the money thingy comes in. "Bail". Lol. My question is do you get the money back if you are innocent? Hmm....
