Postal Service Food Drive

Take Me To Post Comment Form

I want to ask everyone to please support the Post Office's food pick-up this Saturday. As a long time pantry volunteer, I can attest to the value this program has on operations throughout the year. There are a lot of needy people in our community and many do not or cannot receive support - or receive insufficient support.

A jar of peanut butter, a package of macaroni and cheese, or a can of green beans, means a lot to pantry operations. Mine operates on donations alone and the Post Office's food drive is a great boost.

Thank you.

Just an observation that in these days of candidates trying to out conservative or out progressive one another and talking about anything other than how to actually solve some of our country's problems, Bulloch County is truly blessed to have two such well-qualified candidates vying for Clerk of Superior Court. ...

Ambassador Appointments

Much is being made of recent nominations for ambassador positions. Nominees not having ever visited the country to which they are being nominated. Not being fully versed in the current political situation of the country. Being rewarded for fund raising for the sitting president. Big whoop! Ambassador positions have always ...

I had a Facebook post from one of my friends at church which was a forward. I don't remember the topic of the post but what made me take note was a comment that said, "Thank God for the Reformation." And I wondered if the person who commented on the ...

Government Shutdown
October 17, 2013
So, Congress avoided their self-created economic and political crisis. At the last minute, of course. And now the pundits and the poiliticians both begin to spin the results to favor their preferred personal outlook. But, their discussions revolve around whether the Republicans or the Administration "lost". Or, who gained the ...
