Today’s newspaper , Friday April 26th , listed the “Births” from Feb 2nd to Mar 26th. A total of 151 births were listed. A total of 76 were to married couples and 75 to unmarried couples and single moms. A 50% total for each group. No mention was made on how many babies were aborted. Just thought you should know what is going on, in case there is someone out there, who cares about the direction of our culture and support our government, and therefore our politicians give to it.

Your assumptions about the marital status of these couples notwithstanding, these numbers do track national trends (of course, there's lots of disagreement about what's driving the trend!). Assuming we're tracking other national pregnancy-related trends as well (and I can't stress enough that this is total speculation!), we can estimate the number of induced abortions during this time in this area to be around 45, and the number of spontaneous abortions to be around 200.

Ironside, I too am dismayed by the epidemic of unwed mothers. Unfortunately, it is a barometer of the sad state of the nation.

2 things 1.-Babies are not aborted only fetuses are. 2.- Why would there be a mention of it? Further if it were not for abortion there would be more babies born to single mother to whom you would shake your head at.

Phoenix77 2 things - 1. fetuses develop into babies who develop into children who develop into people like you. 2. Abortion should never be used as a substitute for birth control.

I went to the Idaho and saw the change to GSU's uniforms. The Iconic look of GSU's uniforms is something that should not fall victim to the "Who can come up with the flashiest uniform craze" that many teams are now going to. These teams have lost their identity. GSU's ...

Why is the Islamic World on Fire? I served in the Egyptian Sinai Desert in 1983-1984 and the Gulf War in 1990-91. What I experienced was a part of the world forgotten for hundreds of years by the West suddenly rediscovered by the West because of the need for oil. ...

ISIS on the march, is history repeating itself. The history of Islam is what we are witnessing ISIS doing in Iraq. From it’s beginning, Islam has been a very violent religion. Muhammad leads his followers on raids of caravans traveling in the desert beginning in the year 622. He gains ...
