Last week The Walk in My Shoes Leadership Group from The Spot After School Program delivered cards to Westwood Nursing Home. All the cards were hand made from the members of the after school program. The residents were excited to see the young people involved in a positive program that not only helps tutor them, but it also helps build their character from young people into responsible adults. The Spot is a nonprofit after school program located on GA Hwy 67(next to The Bike Shop) past the fairgrounds. All children are transported from school to the program at no cost to the parents. The Spot is open Monday-Friday from 3:00pm-7:00pm. All donations and/or fundraisers held by The Spot via Walk in My Shoes helps to provide shoes for children in our community that needs them but can't afford them and now helps to provide a safe haven for children grades K-12 to attend after school at no charge. The Spot offers tutoring and character building activities for all children grades K-12.
