I weep to think of the misguided mind(s) of any legislator that would introduce such idiotic legislation. "Let's see. I'm off to church. Tie straight? Yep. Hair combed? yep. Got my Glock? Yep. Got my Bible? Now, where did I put the danged thing?"
Bryant,
A weapon inside God's house goes against I believe in. I agree with your comments.
However, I must admit I have doubts too, given that the number of people wounded or killed in a church is on the rise. Add to the fact that law enforcement officers cannot be everywhere all of the time.
When we focus more on the possible threats instead of the words inspired by God, our society is on the edge of a cliff.

I am a veteran and served my country with honor and pride. I have owned guns and at this time I chose not to. Simply because I do not feel the need to. I hear many people comment about how disappointed they are at the level of violence that happens at the end of a gun not to mention the other forms of violence. Yet from the conversation in air lately one would be mistaken to think that having a gun was the most important thing in ones life. Do we really need to have so many guns? Do we really feel that unsafe in our own homes? Have we really lost our faith in the ability of law enforcement to do their job? Do we really fear our government that much? Are there not better ways to deal with the issues of the day that at the point of a gun?
