I thought long and hard how to make a better life for my husband and myself. I have learned much in the past year about the world around us and I thought I would share what hit home and turned on the light bulb for me.

Never assume anything! Don’t give up your passions! Don’t let others critique what you are suppose to be doing with your life. Never give up. A person who is a poor worker can keep their job. A person who is an excellent worker can be overlooked! Laughing really brings your blood pressure down!

There are bad attorneys and do nothing attorneys. If you think your gut is trying to tell you something is wrong, listen to your gut in every situation, always. Be empathetic. The people who are the most critical of you to your face and back are the most lacking. Any family can be one paycheck away from being on the street. Apologize when you have wronged someone.

Sometimes you help is not appreciated. If someone does not like you for some reason, don’t let it bother you. They are probably not worth liking anyways. If you think you can’t be suckered more than once, think again. My favorite!!!!!! A President of the US can have his own agenda. There are teachers that may be educated but not know. The church can be wrong. People lie in court to obtain money.

Friends can lie to you and let you down. Family members can let you down. A whole county can be wrong. A court system can be dishonest. There are a few good doctors left out there just got to look hard for them. I am still looking for a few good attorneys! The jury is still out on this! LOL.

If a person reneges on a contact with intent know his or her character. Admire the people that keep promises. Stay around the winners. Avoid toxic friends and family members. Keep the faith. There are really bad mothers in this world. A single lie can go unpunished. There is good in the world. If you know you are right in your heart you are right. Always try to say thanks to people who appreciate you.

Karma actually happens. People are finite. The truth is the truth according to the scriptures of Jesus Christ. God is not greed, God is everything infinitely perfect; humans, animals, trees the earth, the sky and the universe. Only love is enduring, not material things. Don’t smoke. Eat healthy and know God always answers prayers not always at the time you want him to. If anyone has more to share I know I can always add it to my list!

Some wonderful wisdom. Thanks.

However, I am surprised the Herald didn't yank your blog for breaking the rule of mentioning other blogging sites in your post. They have done so in the past. I guess it's because your words of wisdom are a good thing to read.

I think people would be wise to follow your advice. .Listen to your heart but also listen to your head. The Greeks were wise and knew the proper balance between the Apollonian ( the head) and the Dionysian ( the emotions ). The loving God of my brand of Christianity tells us the same. Jesus was God and man.
