If we arm all teachers, then every school will be equal. It's funny though, I have not heard of school shootings at a private school. Only those government schools are targets, I guess.
When I began teaching at Southeast Bulloch High School many of the students would arrive at school, with guns on their gun racks, in their pick-up trucks. There was plenty of ammo in the truck too. They had been out hunting deer. No one thought anything about this practice that had been going on for years. Than Columbine happened and everything changed overnight. It changed because there was no leadership from the Superintendent or enough members of the community to say we are not changing our ways. Instead, we condemned our own children, taking away this long standing tradition, because some believed we could no longer trust our children. Now the school is a gun free zone with a sign out front announcing to anyone wanting to do harm, for the fame it will bring them on TV, to come on in and have your way with our children, there are no guns here! So who is winning?
