What happened in Benghazi?

CBS News reported two weeks ago that Tyrone Woods, a Navy Seal, upon hearing the gun fire across town in Benghazi, along with the cries for help over his local communication’s net with the American Consulate, headed straight for the Consulate despite being told to “Stand Down” three times. When he got there, he helped rescue some thirty personnel in the compound.
He also used his “Laser Binoculars” to “Light UP” the mortar that was firing on the compound. Military training teaches that you never “Light Up” a target unless you have conformation that there is aircraft cover overhead ready to fire a laser guided missile on the target, because once you “Light Up “ the target by putting the laser line on it, you also show the enemy your position. CBS also reported that there was a Drone flying over the Consulate at the time of the attack sending back live video feed to the White House Situation Room, and that the President was in the Situation Room. Tyrone put his laser line on the mortar because he had conformation that the Drone flying overhead was ready to fire.
Someone issued an order not to “Fire”. That order got Tyrone killed. CBS also reported that Tyrone died from a mortar round fired from the same mortar he had put his laser line on. Who issued the order not to fire! The White House was watching the attack in real time video feed from the Drone. The only person who had the authority to issue an order not to fire was the Commander-In-Chief, the President.
Why did this brave American die? Why did our Ambassador and two other brave Americans die?

Great! Now we have the opportunity to be involved in five wars: Libya,Iran,Syria,Iraq, and Afghanistan. Have I left anything out?

Fly,

You left out the United States. With drones flying overhead in some of our major cities, it will only be a matter of time.

Drones? Yes, Washington D.C. is one city of many that has drones flying overhead. It started earlier this year. The Drudge Report printed numerous articles from the leftist media about it.

Ironside,

There is no excuse for it. There is no excuse for the confusion or cover-up coming from the State Dept. or the White House.

Can you please link the articles you are referring to Ironside?

Just read a piece in the AJC that says every one of your claims is a lie.

Yes, police departments around the country have been pushing for drones in order to deter street crime--- a bad idea in my opinion. The drones you mentioned have absolutely nothing to do with our foreign policy, however.

sloopjohnb: You need to stop going to left wing blogs that carry Obama's cover-up water. CBS nightly news is were you need to go.

Fly,

Yes, I understood your comments about foreign policy.

I was referencing the fact that our country has changed so much in the last 15 - 20 years, that sometimes I think we are living in a foreign country.

Walkie, I would have to agree with you.

Ironside, I suggest you reconsider your characterization of the AJC blogger as "left wing" and examine his credentials. And you might also find a couple of additional sources relating to the incident. You might find some solace that your government isn't as totally incompetent, or uncaring, or just plain stupid as you assert.
