City Council Candidate Concern

So given the recent political climate here in Statesboro, I decided I would venture out on my own to take a look at the candidates. After being inundated on a daily basis with politcal flyers, campaign signs and having people literally knock on my door to ask for my vote I wanted to do a google search to see who these candidates may . And that is literally ALL I did. Take a look at what I found on Mr. MCollar...

He's says he has a successful business but he is selling it on Craigslist?? I will post the link to his FB Page, the web page and the Craigslist link in the comments box below. Notice how all the pictures are the same. Can anyone enlighten me on what Mr. McCollar does for a living? I can understand selling a business if it is not working...especially given the economy. But does anyone know what else he does?

**And then I find out that he's been arrested for failure to pay child support. How can we trust someone to take care of the City if he can't even take care of his own children. I can not and furthermore WILL NOT support someone who does not put his family first! I will also post this link in the comments box below.

Please feel free to give me your thoughts and feedback. At this point I am unsure of who I will be voting for. I just thought I would share.

looks to me like you just wanted to bash this guy. how many other people
"literaly" knocked on your door? why didnt you give any info on them? or is this the only guy you could find any trash on?
dont get me wrong, im all about stirring the stink, but dont try to hide it or sugarcoat it.
thats just my opinion. or you could call it "feedback". you asked for it didnt you?

Gotta go with Turkey on this - I don't mind the truth but what about the other candidates? Do you support one of them? Did you find anything "bad" on them?

Straightdope, it clearly says that the case was dropped. It is clear that you have a issue with this guy. All I have heard are good things about him. Additionally, this is America and if he wants to sell his business then let him. We have current city councilman that have sold businesses so what is the problem?

I don;t get to vote on this councilman, but I will say it seems that since we have four men running, it is wise to look at each of them closely and decide who will BEST represent the voice of the people in District 1.

Since people have been very dis-satisfied with many council decisions over the years, this is an opportunity to put someone in place who will be ethical, honest, and who will create dialogue with the citizens.

That's my objective view. I think there are two men who really stand out.

I think it's time for a woman to sit at that table.

How many of us have heard, "It takes a woman to do a man's job." or "Do you want to speak to the man in charge, or the woman who knows what's really going on?"
