Take Me To Post Comment Form

Just got back from out of town and read in Saturday's Soundoff (absolutely the most worthless section of the paper but always good for a laugh or a groan or a sad shake of the head) the complaint about the paper publishing a blog topic on Thursdays. I guess the caller does not see the irony in his/her comment.

It is to laugh!

Charlie here.

My only complaint would be that the paper also publishes the date and time of the blog and comments.

I bet more than one person wishes the paper would not do that because the contributor's boss might learn their employees are not always working...

I have to agree with the caller in part.

Some of the blogs are definitely worth the read.

Now, there is this one blogger...

I wonder why the Herald would stoop so low as to print the garbage coming from their mind. The paper must be pretty desperate to print their comments. At least this person has warned them up front. I think the Herald needs to print that warning every time they print the bloggers comments in order to better protect the mental health of their readers.

Who am I talking about? I'm not going to mention their name, but the disclaimer has something related to "noise from the mind of a fool."

Walkie, I agree with the need for the warning comment! :>) (I hate "emoticons")

Things I Thought About
December 10, 2014
FDA regulations setting calorie maximums: Don't know the ins and outs of this proposal but the first thing I thought of: It's a plot by processed food purveyors in conjunction with the FDA to reduce volume (thus cutting calories) while maintaining profit margins in face of rising production costs. We'll ...

PSC District 4 Race
October 30, 2014
Well, seems we're discussing all the races that put up the most (volume) negative ads and supposedly will have national impact. So, I want to write about a pocketbook race between Bubba McDonald and Daniel Blackman for a PSC seat. McDonald has been in the PSC since 1998 and in ...

To or not to do - what
September 01, 2014
I watched the Sunday morning news shows (NBC and CBS) and listened to supposedly qualified pundits – experts, knowledgeable people, or whatever term you prefer – discourse on what we should do about ISIS and the Ukraine. Not once did I hear anyone dare raise the issue of whether we ...

PSC seat in Republican Primary
May 19, 2014
For those of you who have not voted early and will be voting Republican tomorrow, I have one entreaty. For the Public Service Commission seat do not vote for the incumbent, "Bubba" McDonald. McDonald has admitted reports in the Atlanta Constitution that he comes to work less than 1/2 the ...

Government by intimidation?
May 18, 2014
Letter to the editor which may or not see the light of day in print. I never fail to marvel at George Will's ability to wield language in such a fashion as to denigrate liberals (anyone to the left of Rick Santorum) and trash those he purports to support (law ...
