Hi!

It's hot and dry outside these days. It only means the risk of heatstroke has increased. Be sure to keep hydrated during this warm weather. Yes, I know - it's cool compared to what it will get.

With this in mind, what are your favorite drinks to sip or gulp? Do you have a specialty drink you enjoy when dining out or visiting the drive-thru? Do you have a creation you would like to share?

My creations: "Cheap Man Sprite"
water,ice,lemon,lime

Take a large glass of ice water and squirt the juice of 1/4 lemon and 1/4 lime. Stir. Enjoy.

"Fake Margarita"
Sprite,ice,lime

Take a large glass of Sprite. Add ice. Squirt the juice of 1/3 lime. Stir. Enjoy.

"The basic water with lime"
It's the same as water with lemon, except a lime is used.

I used to call Coca-Cola the "elixir of the gods," and we went through buckets of it at my house, but we've pretty much switched completely over to plain old water or, if only fizzy will slake the thirst, club soda with fresh lime juice.

Used to be, we made our sweet tea so sweet we might as well have skipped the tea part, but we're ratcheting down the sugar content (baby steps...) and now, sometimes, we can even taste tea!
