Mommas' wings of love wrap close around me
and with hers; Gods' love completely surrounds me.
My heart speaks, "Tether not so tightly to this place
for Momma says tis far better when you see Gods' face."
Momma knows the ways of our beautiful world.
She tells me."All is His and must remain unfurled
in our hands of uncertainty to give back to God."
She knows it's best to cling only, to the old rugged cross.
Quietly I slumber though awake and wonder, in this simple splender
how great my God is to call Momma. To her son He's sent her.
She tells me, "This too shall pass." then she kisses my head.
Pulling away as I reach for her she says, "No my son, go with God instead."
"He is the light. Let loose your worldly ties and give God your burdens.
Continue your fight against an evil satan that's certain.
Go close to Him that calls upon you, don't look back!
Know that no one loves you more; not even me. Follow Gods' path."
*Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV) Jesus teaches to his disciples and the crowds, "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
My light was lit many years ago for others to see for the glory of God. Satan saw this light too and made a failed attempt to extinguish my light. Not once, not twice but too many times satan has attempted this. In the process he has thwarted my efforts to Gods' will and my light has been dim to where others could not see my God working through me and give Him praise. However, satan has NEVER extinguished my light no matter how cunning he was. I am as each of us are. I am Gods' perfection with all of my imperfections called ...human.
Has your light dimmed? Do you keep it hidden? Tap the base of your lamp with Gods' Word and feel good in yourself knowing that others will again see your light and praise God.
If your light is hidden, find it out in the yard while your cutting the grass, find it in the kitchen while cooking supper. Talk to God sincerely and He will hear. Then be patient. He is patient with you. Believe me I know from personal experience. Time is short and there is everything to gain.
