Please take a "moment" to answer the following question for our May edition of Moments Magazine:
Mothers pass on many important lessons, values, & morals to their children.
Outside of your faith, if you could pick only one virtue to pass on to your child, what would it be and why?
Patience – it is the one thing I never feel I have enough of but it is the one thing I wish I could pass along.
Acceptance - of the views of others, of the faiths of others, of the abilities -or lack thereof - of others, of others' differences.
Love- because without love there is no patience, there is no acceptance. With out love, there is hate, bitterness, and many other things that could lead to the destruction of true strong moral foundations.
Honesty because all others can and often are faked. With honesty everything falls into proper perspective and grows.
Enjoyment- because really without finding what makes you truly happy whether it be having a family, getting a career, or traveling the world....then whats the point! This I pass not only to my children but to all people find your bliss because life is going to happen anyway!
