| BIO: | Nancy is the founding director of Ogeechee Area Hospice Inc; a non-profit agency serving terminally ill patients in Bulloch and several surrounding counties in homes, nursing homes and in a state-of-the-art inpatient hospice facility. Nancy graduated summa cum laude from Georgia Southern College in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After working in various health care settings and receiving her master’s degree in community nursing in 1989, she taught in the School of Nursing at Georgia Southern University for four years prior to her quest to establish hospice care in the region. She was the recipient of the Jimmy Crockett Humanitarian Award from Georgia Southern University’s School of Nursing in February 2001 and was then named
the Alumni of the Year for Georgia Southern University’s College of Health and Professional Studies in April 2005. Nancy and her husband Larry made Statesboro their home in 1974. They have two grown daughters, Heather Bryant and Kelly Worob and a granddaughter Jadie Worob |
